No previous tool experience is required.
Build your own chopping board out of recyled timber!
These boards are created in 2x workshops which span over a 2 week period. Each workshop is 3 hours long and will have 6 participants.
Week 1 involves cutting the timber to size using the table saw and drop saw, sanding any varnish or old glue off and glue up. (Glue ups take 24-48 hours to cure)
Week 2 involves sanding your board down using the thicknesser and orbital sanders, using the router to create a curved edge and finishing your board with a food grade wax or oil.
Workshop Dates (You must be able to attend both please in order to finish your board).
Tuesday 27 January & Tuesday 3 February, 6pm - 9pm
Saturday 31 January & Saturday 7 February, 9am - 12pm
*Workshops will be held at the Menzshed, 17 Preston Drive Arrowtown.
*Please wear covered footwear (no crocs, jandals or sandals) & long hair must be tied up. All safety equipment and tools will be provided.
